The buzz is out that Joe Hartley and the Hartley Racing Team are looking to make their mark this year. Here is what some of the fans are saying: "Way to go Joe Hartley! That was a great weekend of racing at Houston. It seemed like everytime I looked up there was the red car going to the next round. What a thrill to be in the final run. The car looked solid all day Sunday. Joe and the team are finally getting some deserved TV air time." Good luck next race, "Send my congratulations to Allen and Joe. Enjoyed watching their success on ESPN in Houston. Also enjoyed seeing Joe take out Schumaker in the season opener." Take care, Hartley Racing Takes Second Place in Houston The Hartley Racing team was off to a slow start on Friday. Round 1 Qualifying, Joe Hartley ran 14.013 at 48.76mph. This put him in 18th position. Then things started to heat up. Round 2 Qualifying, Joe Hartley ran 4.631 at 312.42mph. This would place Hartley Racing in 9th place. Sunday's Round 1 Elimination stared off shaky. Joe Hartley had a strong start, however he started to spin the tires on the top half of the track. He ran 4.820 at 246.57mph. Joe Hartley dropped a couple of cylinders also, however he kept the tires down and took the big upset win and sent Bazemore packing. Round 3 Eliminations gave Joe Hartley the lane choice against David Grubnic. Grubnic was off to a good start, but ran out of steam. Hartley was able to blow past him with a 4.623 at 316.15mph. This win will give Hartley the lane choice again Todd in his family's first-ever trip to a Top Fuel final round. Todd left a little quicker, however Hartley Racing takes an impressive second place with a time of 4.645 at 307.79. Good luck next race, ©2006 Hartley Racing |
